So often, love finds us because despite our zeal to find love, we often don't have the courage to step outside our comfort zone.

sadly your right alot of us feel this way and i think love have away of finding us even when we think we are playing it safe
like the funny mail person, or the landlords family member, ups person, new next door neighbor, car accident victim in our front yard

I reached out and found my love/soulmate, almost 6 yrs. in Novemb. He moved in 1 mo. after we met and emailed/etc.
and he has 3 angels, boy-17yr. now- and Girls, 14 and 13!
Anything can be done, when we try and just take 1 sTEP at a time, and Have FAith and Just do!
STep OUT of the Comfort Zone and live alittle!
Just be aware and cautious while doing it!

I'm guilty of playing it safe, but in such troubling times how can we do less? Be careful, but broaden your horizons.

It's the best way if you want to be safe. If you want more...I know I play it too safe. I didn't play it safe when I was a young man. I'm lucky I survived my youthful foolishness. So now I play it safe. The thing is I "know" I was happier in my youthful foolishness.

Even though I think you expressed well of your feelings in this poem. However, I don't agree to living one's life alone.



For every woman there is always a man.

For everyone there is always a friend.

This is no right way to live but I'm afraid for many in this world this is the only way to live. Sometimes it is an existing reality and sometimes it is an imaginary fear haunting the victim and forcing him to live in constant torture. In that case the he or she needs to see a doctor. Excellent poetry

Awe Sue, you've tugged at my heart with this one...my mom divorced my dad when I was one year old due to so much heartache and pain, she married again several years later to be hurt again, and has been single since I was eight years old. She doesn't allow anyone to see pain or would admit that she is lonely at times, but always portraying a strong spirit, we've talked about it many times...she says it's just easier to know that you're not going to be hurt...I don't know if it's what is best or if I what I would do if I were in her place...probably the same, protecting the heart! Enjoyed this so much my friend...heartfelt and beautifully written!
