I have people
Whenever I start to feel too cocky
Thinking I know it all
I have people
Who remind me where I’ve been
And how far I have to go
I have people
When I feel down and out
Thinking I’ve never sunk so low
I have people
Who tell me I’m loved
And how much I mean to their world
Yes I have people
They make up the best of my life
And I thank God every day
For my people
And what they do for me

Sue:

This was really nice! Yes, I've often mentioned that there are angels amongst us. If we reach out, they are there for us.

Very well done, Sue! This poem puts life into perspective -- we all should be more thankful for our "peeps". Thank you for the gentle reminder.

I'm a real throw back because I never heard the term "your peeps" until a professor used it at Pitt a couple of years ago. And what she was talking about you capture in this poem. We all need our peeps. I know I do. Guy--

Excellent! I am one of your people. I have people too, both here at the den and outside! An outstanding poem. Gives hope to the hopeless.

Thanks dear Sue.
