I had three letters in my email today
Two of them mentioned Viagra
The other was from some African nation
Wanting my bank account numbers
So he could share his millions with me
Naturally I sent them right off
I used to sort thru the emails
Looking for the ones from you
Those other guys wrote
And of course, I answered them
But it was you I was looking for
And you never disappointed me
You usually wrote something silly
Or a little bit naughty
But it always brightened my day
Or warmed my nights
Now I get Viagra
And the Count of B’wanna
And if I’m really lucky
I get something rated XXXX
But nothing from you
And I miss you

Africa is the poorest nation and scammers claim that they are looking for help transfering funds in the tune of billions. Watch out dear sue. Keep reading, even the silly things, because it gives you a lesson.

An excellent write.
In appreciation'

Ah when the email strength is tested by its absence, then and only then does the heart truly feel its real value. For some the ache is great and the longing deep. Great capture of a serious subject here.

Its a good thing Count B'wanna didn't clean out your bank account. I got the very same e-mail and he wanted to borrow my wife for a week. I told him for half a mill I'd consider it. (-:

I haven't heard back from him.

Lonliness can be exacerbated by everything at times. You effectively mixed humor and sadness in this one dear Sue.

Light and Wisdom ...

P.S. If you don't want the viagra, let me know OK?
