This is excellent, Sue -- you've voiced what we've all heard a time or two in our lives, male or female. In truth, I guess there's no easy way to let someone down gently -- if we care, it's going to hurt. Very well done and a pleasure to read.

I had to grin a bit as I read this one for I will be honest I have used a few of those lines myself back when I was in the dating game but...
in all fairness I also heard those same lines spokent to me a time or two by some lady or the other. It think though with men the dating game is also the "see if I can get laid" game so they tend to be more picky when it comes down to cimmittment.
Anyway just so you know you are not alone...we were all there at one time or another.
