I don’t know why I sit here staring at this sheet of paper
Nothing is going to change
The words are not going to jump out at me
Come pouring from my keyboard
From the tip of my fingers
Like honey from a jar
They aren’t going to spring in full sentences
From the depths of my mind
Poems are not going to appear
From out of nowhere
I groan in despair
I can’t make it happen
As much as I would like to
No it isn’t
As much as I want it to occur
The words are not going to appear
Until suddenly
Surprisingly
They do
And I relax
