I have no explanation for this one...a thought brought on by a book i guess...who knows where this stuff comes from..

She stood alone
Too beautiful for the room
Too elegant
Wanting to be defiled
Ready to be debased
She begged to be rejected
But she was too pretty
To be defiled
Too classy for dirty hands
And wanting only the dirt
Never the hands
She cried quietly
While the world went on
Around her

Day dreams. Is as contradictory as a dream. Someone is wishing for just the opposite of what she deserves.
Excellent write Sue.

A deep write my friend, a poets muse comes from many different places...who knows, a billboard sign, a book, a movie, a dream, the mirror, nature...this list could go on forever...enjoyed this write that many can relate too!

I find this compelling, Sue. Howevere, I am puzzled by the line, "She begged to be ignore" as it does not seem (to me) to fit her other wishes. I could be misinterpreting, though. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

Regis
