Time Well Spent

I took off three days back in ‘72
To try and figure out
This thing with women and men
Course I went shopping for a few hours
Before reading a couple of chapters
In my favorite mystery
And then there was that album
I always meant to listen to
And I hadn’t called my mom in a while
I had a cake to bake
And a floor to wax
And a couple of chores to do
But I did manage to put in a minute or two
The way I meant to do
And in those few minutes
Of that last day
Just before bedtime
While I brushed my teeth
I figured it out
Hope you do too

I guess men and women are an equal mystery, despite what others have to say about it. Well done.

hey guys...i'm really stretching the truth here...if i ever figure it out i'll be so cocky you won't be able to live with me...some mysteries are not meant to solved i guess. i love you all, no mystery there

I don't think we're ever meant to figure it out completely. Men are men and women are superior. ;) Nice write, love Theresa.

Ahh, time well spent, Sue, doing chores that seem to take priority over what we really want to do. Poetry is my love, but I MUST get others things done before penning what has been running around in my head. I call it "prioritizing" before moving forward.

Great write,
George
