They are called night terrors
Deep gut wrenching fear
That wakes you shaking and cold
Sweating and gasping
Sure that something is grabbing you
By the throat and won’t let go
Pain in the gut
Twists thru you and leaves you
Panting, unable to catch your breathe
Tears streak your face
And your hands tear at the sheets
As you try to bury yourself
In a mound of blankets
Anything for a haven
Until you’re awake
And safe once again
I know those horrible encounters, Sue. I have not had any for a long time and I hope I do not again. They come in different ways though. Love and peace to you,
You expressed Night Terrors so very well! No one can understand this awesome write unless they have experienced Night Terrors! You did an excellent job! HUGS! SC

I was on holiday, in cornwall with an ex, I woke up and saw this white thing floating, I tried to scream out but my mouth refused, i tried to move but i was paralysed...Yet the cottage was only about 3 0r 4 hundred years old.
There be a strange atmosphere in ye ole cornwall...
I hate the ones that have you bolt straight up in the bed. Trying to focus in the thick darkness. Not sure where you are, not sure what just happened. Thanks for memories! Not! Great write!
The Star Seekers is a humorous, fast-paced adventure and a heartwarming story for anyone who has ever looked at the stars and wanted to venture out there.

Had them a time or two myself and they sure leave you shaken up for a long time afterwards.
