I'm almost ashamed of this title but it seemed so right for the poem, i decided to risk any Hell you all might give me...

I was about twelve
When I first started wondering
About love and all
The adults seemed to know
But it was so far ahead of me yet
I was curious
I was a little over fourteen
When I begun to understand
What it was and what it meant
But it was still so far away
And I was only curious
When I was seventeen
I learned too much too fast
It still wasn’t clear
There was too much yet to learn
But I was no longer curious
I can’t tell you how old I was
When I finally knew what it meant
And how it hurt
My heart and soul
And I asked God to forgive me then
For ever being so curious

The poem is well written. The sentiments are true to life. I'm still curious. I'll no doubt die a fool. But it's not about me it's about the poem and your poems are very publishable outside of AD. Are you sending them out?
