We were a different breed back then
Different goals and different dreams
We thought it was all possible
But never thought it through
We dreamed
But didn’t toil
We aspired
But didn’t climb
We wanted the world
But not its cost
Now that I think about it
Maybe we weren’t so different after all

Yes, looking back at my youth in the sixties and all of the changes we said we would make, how much did we really accomplish...free love gave us so much disease, burn the bra...gave women future back problems, stop the war...just made way for new wars...etc etc etc
