This was inspired by something a wise man said to me...

He said
I was loved
And no matter what else
Had happened in his life
I knew that it was all right
Mistakes
We all make them
Hurting others by our own action
Or inaction
But if we are loved
We can’t have failed completely
Somewhere
We made someone happy
And in that happiness
We justify our existence

You are so on target with this one, to be loved...by a parent, a child, a lover, or a friend is what makes life worth living.

Yes, our existence is validated by how we treat others, how we love and how we give of ourselves. Wise man - your friend.
