I know its rude to stare, my mother taught me that
But happiness is so hard to ignore
I can’t take my eyes away when I see someone
Sharing the joy of love, of children, of just sheer bliss
Of living, I have to take a peek, enjoy their life
For just a moment, I can’t take my eyes away
And I wonder if it is really rude to stare
When the view brings even momentary happiness
To the viewer and the viewed, I’m not sure
I just know I can’t help but take a peek
