i wrote this with tongue in cheek. now i wonder....

They watch us from everywhere, land,water and sky
They want to know what we do, how and when and why
It used to be stuff from which novels were made
Tales of Big Brother,a James Bond escapade
It won’t happen to us we were known to scoff
Invade our privacy, we’ll rip the covers off
But little by little we gave up that right
We tossed in the towel and gave up the fight
Into our houses we brought the technology
Now they watch all we do without an apology
Its for your own good I can hear them say
Better we guard you as you go thru your day
We’ll keep bad things from happening to you
We’ll weed out the good while at it, its true
You won’t feel comfortable in your own home
Or in motel rooms when you just gotta roam
You’ll feel the eyes upon you all the time
The invasion of your life, no longer a crime
Because we gave them their greatest wish
The day we bought the satellite dish
