I was tempted to tell him the truth
Just let the ivory tower crumble
Admit I didn’t believe a word of it
And have it out once and for all
But how could I do that to him
He sincerely believes he’s infallible
That his word is the Word
To doubt him unthinkable
Can I crush him so easily
With one rash display of doubt
Or do I do the humane thing
And continue this charade
Until next year and his next
