I wait expectantly for tomorrow
Today was okay, nothing bad per se
But nothing happened to thrill me
To set my heart to pounding
I went through my day with cheer
Awaiting what I knew was to come
This day surely is the one
The one that will fulfill all my wants
Today didn’t quite do it however
It just wasn’t what I prayed for
So with optimism and complete faith
I await…with hope…for tomorrow
