I’ve wandered too long on the outskirts
Playing cards and petting dogs
Drinking too much and thinking too little
Its easy to miss your turns
The ones that take you home
To safety of your family
The warmth of love
Too easy to take the wrong road
The one that keeps you out there
On the edge of despair

Missed those turns- a time or two - myself. It's so nice when you do get back on the right road.

Great write, Sue. Getting one's head on straight. It's called maturity.
