Freedom for all people against oppression, fear, poverty, religion, and freedom of expression. These central freedoms must not be compromised for a just society to continue and exist. Slavery is wrong no matter who the enslaver, we misstreat the natural wonder of the land and now nature rises against us, seas and rivers break levees', almost insurmountable heat, wars, and mans' inhumanity to man, selfishness and greed will destroy us. We must remember all life is valuable has merit and worth!

I had a chance to mediate,

from the past chose not to escape,

to a future that looks so bright,

that competes with the sun's greatness for light!

My heritage comes from kings and queens,

of which Christ Jesus is Lord supreme.

There were many dark days of wrath and woe,

but beauty is inside that afterglow!

To a foreigh land in chains were drudged,

from our parents without a hug.

Thousand of miles across the sea,

to the Americas our new destiny.

Dehumanized slaves to our graves,

women ravished illicit so depraved.

We knew only cotton little rest from toil,

beast of burden and tiller of the soil.

In our hearts burned that desire to be free,

like the pilgrims who sailed across the sea.

To break the chains of religious slavery,

and come to America where all could be free!

A ground so tender flowers kiss the sky,

corn so succulent towering on high.

Lakes royal blue rivers so bluish green,

ice capped mountains valleys how serene.

A grape the size of a kiwi fruit,

though a cluster the burden of two.

Buffalo, fish so many yet plenty,

climate change like the four winds sing.

Savages cared and pilfrims preserved,

corn, turkeys, and meat did feast,

foxes, beavers, wolves, and buffalo hides,

brought warmth to their bodies many survived.

We broke from Britain some died to be free,

many a battle fought sepulchers to see.

We are all over his wondrous world,

fighting for the concept  all men are free!

The past helps to see it enlightens me.

A future too fiery bright to see,

and a world vast enough for all people,

is what this Fourth of July should be!
