The stillness of the morning,
speaks softly to the waves,
as they rush to and fro.
Willing shores awaiting,
not reluctant but beseeching,
music in concert harmony
heightens the beauty of this day!
The grass tan brown yet thirsty,
seeking downpour from the sky.
Punished is there any reason why,
all must suffer far and nigh?
Please oh rain do come forth,
and nourish us with water.
Plead with the clouds our cause,
let cisterns burst open,
the land again will rejoice!
Mother earth yields her increase,
flowers bloom butterflies quest,
while rivers and oceans sing.
A scarlet cardinal sparrow nigh,
black squirrel eating passerby.
Commandments adorn the earth,
the voices descend from heaven,
unsurpassed beauty she clothes.
