Sacrifice, so America can have a joyous blest holiday.
The Fourth of July is, more than hot dogs, barbecue ribs, steak, sausages, shiskabobs, potato salad, ice cream, apple pie! Or about the white picket fence, brother and sister it's about you and I! 4th of July begins here, gallant soldiers past and present. Fighting for a way of life, we know as, the democratic way of life! Men and women killed, wounded or maimed! For America and the world to stay free, to choose their fate and destiny! Freedom from fear, want and oppression! Freedom to worship, the one true God, who indwells a righteous people, all over the world, Jew or Gentle, bondman of free! All the world should be free, from anarchy and slavery! A TV war tell only, a minute part of the story! I am a Vietnam Navy veteran and I know. The horrific gory story, hell on earth for what its worth! If you never experience war, God has truly blest you! Best people qualified to tell the story. The war story, is the soldier. As the Air Force patrol the skies, Army and Marine guard lands worldwide, and the Navy protect our shores, and the Coast Guard protect our cities, and our coastal waters. Let us keep an attitude of gratitude, promoting our altitude in heaven above, and the earth below sanctioned by God. America, My Country Tis of Thee! Long live thy land, freedom & liberty!��

I believe the day is embodied in the Declaration of Independence. "Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." That is why should be a happy day because we can celebrate those three things. In fact, one of the things that the signers of that document wanted and fought for, was freedom from the tyranny of the state church of England.

When in times of peril, I believe that a citizen army, and I mean citizen, not mercenary, should rise up and face the enemy. That is why we have a Department of Defense and not a Department of War.

Ah, Michael, such a beautiful and honest poem you have given us to contemplate. Yes, I feel that I have truly been blessed me because I have never experienced war. You have the heart and soul of what this country we live in is all about. Yes, the fireworks, all the barbeques are nothing compared to our fighting men and woman, who constantly strive to keep our country safe. (I have dread in my heart concerning our commander-in-chief and how he is drifting in a new and dangerous paths, for America, these days.)
