Scare me some more cause I still get a thrill and a chill!
Ghosts and goblins of yesteryear,
still these I hold most dear.
howls and screeches pierce the ear,
seized my heart with fear.
Even the dark shadows scare you,
as your mind ever dares to,
touch again to reality.
Yet the wind echoes and pretend,
spewing boos from phantom in the night.
You wonder ponder terrorized from fright!
Somehow your brother and sister hands.
Help you take complete command.
Of things that go bump in the night.
Comforting knowing things are alright.
Beep, beep get out the street,
now let go trick or treat!
Some 'hoods can be really scary most every night of the year except maybe, Fourth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving day, and Christmas. On those occasions these very scary neighborhoods sometimes come alive with festivity and goodwill.
I used to enjoy taking my siblings trick or treating when we were children. How scared they would get seeing the witches and goblins walking around. It was up to me, the oldest , to keep order and calmness as we walked from door to door. I miss those days. Thanks for the long ago memory.
