...still catching breath. . .thank you so, so much for your kindness and generosity. . .almost overwhelmed. ~~ As for the present piece, must be my hundredth ode to slow, sweet and gentle rain. All know what the other kind can do, but. . .it is so beautiful here today. Bit chilly out there, but I'm in here-- smile. Peace and Love. . .Nothing but the Kind of Weather you Want and Need, 'Pea'

Poem Artwork

Everything looks so green,
so. . .tender.    As if  rain knows
what we need.   This kind
that lets itself down in stages,
knowing we need peace,
not just drink, not just to be fed,
bathed and sung lullabies
until we drift, do not fall, to sleep.
This kind that says yes
to nourish and no to hail.
Cherishes
its vow not to strike,
but rather to parachute  teams
carry hope and faith in silk
packs that are treated to resist
storms. Orders to give to all.
No portion is to be too big,
no portion too small.  No one,
but no one,  is to be left
to watch with hunger bulged eyes.
Please rain your kind again
and again.  Everything looks
so. . .everything look so. . .green

Feather Rain Creates Emerald Glow and ... tickles my fancy! Just the thought of opening a parrot umbrella makes me stroll to the Zen garden with poetic words and phrases like parasol, tucan, clove, chamomile, chilly nipples, rake lines disappear in the wet sand ... everything looks so green, that fertile line grows curiosity from within the bud and we watch it spring forth and take it upon our lips and feel the dew drops cleanse our aura. Refreshing poem, Pea.

Hi Pea:

You have such great imagination. This poem speaks in more than one way.

I say that how nice it would be if the rain that falls upon the mother earth are kindnesses.

Another hit here PHyllis, this poem paints the picture of the kind of rain you want to run naked out into, the kind you like to lay in bed at the camp or trailor and hear the music it makes on a tin roof, the kind that people dance to in movies. I love this poem and it lifted my spirits. Thank you.

Pea,

Two poems today? Blessed we are by your gentle, healing verse and the rains that will be here tomorrow through Saturday. Both sorely needed. Well done, my friend, beautiful, life giving words!

(((((gentle hugs))))) and much love, Karla.

Ah, that nice and easy and slow and . . . nice rain. The kind that pitter-patters on that old rusty tin roof which lead some to thinking amorous thoughts. Yes, Feather Rain, indeed.
