N: Re the previous poem -- Nocturne --, I felt compelled to save the child who graces the opening; also changed the ending. {2nd title's the same, if you want to take a look. Soon post a quote from Wonderland's Alice re my inability to explain the whys and wherefores. . .re Nocturne or anything else!}

Poem Artwork

            Hummingbirds, All

Symbol of joy
    and transformation,

I feel my head tilt back with yours
and let the sweetness find its way
to blood, bone, and scale.

I thrum with your thrumming.

Feel myself fly
back,

then forth, then
back to this side,    to that,   then
forth,  again,  forth~~~

My claws splay with yours
before grabbing tight
to the red of a feeder
toiled to by instinct
on the cusp of Time.

Our feathers are soft,
our energy high.
We do not set out to hurt,
but heed our cry.

We are fast, we are strong,
our beaks surgical marvels,
wings engineering feats.

Like the wind, like the rain,
like the flowers flute to feed,
aren't just connected, you and I.
All part of the nation of
One.

Each stanza vibrates and shines like the wings of the hummingbird itself. Beautiful work.

A beautiful picture, which matches a beautiful poem, which carries the most beautiful message. A very beautiful write.

Hummingbirds are nature's marvel. This is a beautiful poem of flying through a life that has many detours, but if we take a lesson from the hummingbird, that flight becomes effortless and there is nothing we can't face or handle with surety. Thank you for sharing, Pea.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

Love them birds...
We have many here
They really get into some fights at times..
You may know this, but Hummingbirds go South
by hitch hiking on the geese's back.

Hummingbirds are beautiful with colorful arrays. They buzz when they fly by and chatter to each other when they light in trees for a second or two. Great write!
