Poem Artwork

Sometimes the skies get dark
And grey
I get lost
Can't find my way
Storm clouds move in
The thunder rolls
The demons scream
Or so I'm told
Tears come down
Fall to the floor
No hope is left
Anymore

I need someone to
Understand
Simply sit and hold my
Hand

Sometimes the road is dark
And long
I cry in pain
A lonely song
The clock ticks on
The shadows stare
My soul cries out
But no one's there
My pain is raw
From deep within
 Would suicide be such a
Sin

I need someone to
Understand
Simply sit and hold my
Hand

I think many will be able to relate to this feeling. I like that you wrote it without being over-emotional, with a light hand. The photo goes really well. Great write.

"The shadows stare..." Linda, that line caught my breath.. I stopped and thought about it... yes, they do seem to but I've never read it before.. it's perfect in your poem... who couldn't relate to these utterly human "down" times... beautifully written! katy xox.

It should be so simple.
That hand to hold should not be so hard to find.
This touched me so deeply.
A hand was given to me and taken away. Not everybody can keep promises.
I still have 2 hands, I'll use them.
Precious writing as always.
Love,
John

Heart wrenching brilliant poetry, Poet Linda Hill!!! It amazes me how just holding one’s hand, could prevent needless suffering. You have a very remarkable gift for expressing these priceless moments to reach out and hold someone before it’s too late. Thank you for sharing your outstanding talents and poetry, Poetess.

Oh God, Linda! You have just said what I have
wanted to say or have been trying to say for a
very long time. Thank you. The poem spoke to
my inner being, and not many people get that
close to the inner child in me so I just want to give you
a great big ((HUGSZ))) and ((TEARS)). Maybe we can
