Silence of the Night

This bed seems so large laying side by side-
The empty space between us seems so wide.
I long to reach out and touch you- feel your skin-
Awake a forgotten feeling stirring within.
The silence is so deafning as we both lay here-
You never even notice the falling of a tear.
Too many nights of being together - yet alone-
Lost in the shadows - the clock ticks on.
Yearning...needing...to feel just a touch -
But I guess that is asking way too much.

Blackness all around me - aching for you-
Lost in the tears - I don't know what to do!
Stone cold silence - each on our side of the bed-
Words hang in the darkness - left unsaid.
I want to feel your arms - just reach out and hold-
But I'm afraid that I would freeze from the cold.
I lay here a shell of the woman I want to be-
I have so many passons inside waiting to be free.
Laying in the darkness - I don't make a sound-
As the fan overhead spins around and around.....

Stone cold silence - each on our side of the bed-
Words hang in the darkness left unsaid.......

These lines remind me of my life with my first wife. Sometimes you can not bridge the silence. Very well written! The pain and longing for yesterday shines through. Tim

If he's there and you have the desire, make contact. Grab those words and say them. Could it be worse? This was beautifully written with a real knowledge of this pain. Well done. katy.

Linda, my heart goes out to you. The only thing I ever wanted out of life was to feel cherished. I didn't get that in my marriage. When I found someone whom I thought cherished me more than life itself, I was overjoyed. Unfortunately, he recently left me, so the grass is never really greener.

Hello Linda ... My Dear Friend ... wonderful write ... Dont know what you have metioned is about you or not ... Or if this is just a poem as u always say ... Well i would like to tell you something. Life is not a game. Life is not made up of desire for flesh ... there is something above that ... Try to understand the person in the bed near u ... Try to look at that person and look at his eyes ... you can see the trueness of love and care for you in his eyes ... Try to understand that and be a wonderful supporter of life both for him and for you ... I know you well ... you will surely understand the reality of life once ...

Wish you all happiness friend ... Some may ask you to leave him ... Leaving one person is to easy ... but to find a true love is so tough ...

Keep smiling and take care friend ...
You will surely find happiness once ...
