Happy Father's Day to all the Father's out there. If you are fortunate enough to have your Dad show him how much you love him on HIS day. Its too late for me....but maybe not for you.
So many things I'd like to tell you
So many things to say
I wish I could go back in time
And bring back yesterday.
So many words left unspoken
That I wished I had said
But I turned my back on you
And walked away instead
Forgive me Daddy
For years I never talked to you
Empty days it must have been
A struggle to live through
The tears you must have
Cried in your loneliness
So many hours lost to us
So many hugs we missed
I can't bring back the moments
I could have shown you love
So many reqrets Daddy
The Lord called you above.
I can only say I'm sorry
For all the wasted years
For the sadness you endured
For all the falling tears.

A lot of us live with regrets about things we didn't say or do with our Dads that have passed away....misunderstandings that grew completely out of proportion....differences of opinion that put a wedge between father and child....well done!
