You will see Blackie again have no doubt or fear about that. He has gone on before and as you count up the days since his loss, he counts down the days till your joyous reunion.

It is tough Linda losing a family member. He is in doggy heaven where all good dogs go! Praise the Lord. Don't forget, God attends a sparrow funeral! Stay prayerful and God will comfort you and keep your spirit high above the clouds. Joy, Love and Peace!!!

I too had a little black dog that I loved and lost. I wrote a short story about Jazz, a Pomeranian, and posted here. Unfortunately, he was attacked three times by other dogs in his life and killed by a big black one in his eighth year with me, still young and healthy like a puppy.

I'm finding that so many dogs are dying of cancer. I wonder if it's in their food or their environment. Surely wolves, foxes, dingoes and other wild dogs do not suffer cancer as much as pets do. But then, they probably know live as long.

They are our companions full of love for us and it is so heartbreaking when they die. Been through this many times with my dogs through the years. One is buried in my back yard and another I have his ashes in a tin with his picture on it.
