Still holding your hand
After all these years
I'm trying so hard
To hold back the tears.
Doc says you dont
Have much time
How can I thank you
Dear wife of mine?
For all the happiness
You have given me
For all your sacrifices
I failed to see
Im sorry for all the flowers
I never sent
The missed birthdays that
Came and went.
I was too busy with working
You see
While you were busy taking
Care of me.
We loved each other
Through the years
Of raising kids and
Drying tears.
How will I be able to
Face life alone
With the very heart
Of me gone?
How can I live on
Just memories
Of the joy that
you have graced on me?
You have taken more
Than one woman can stand
Honey, its so hard to
Let go of your hand...
Wonderful write. Excellent one ... You picturised a true hubby and a woderful feeling for others who enjoy being good hubby and who live as a respectable hubby.

Excellent ... Was thinking of the wife the hubby was praising ... How good she will be.. How caring she might have been .. sothat the hubby really respect her so much.
Oh my gosh. This brought tears to my eyes. Let us learn a lesson in this....please. Appreciate what you have WHILE you have it. It's too late when it's gone. Absolutely beautiful. What more can I say? God bless! Love, Beth
Beautifully poignant...
Such love is 'heaven-sent'...

Linda, what a majestical poem! The feelings run so deep; especially after all the years. And you are alone again. But you Linda will never be alone. I am always with you in soul and spirit and will always be. Love from my heart. Bill

Excellent write. When we loose those that we love suddenly the things that seemed important are not.
I met Jerome on a busy city street in Baltimore, Maryland, when he was forty-five years old. On that particular day, I was out and about, enjoying a much-needed day off from work.
I wanted to purchase a sukiyaki sub. I parked my car in an area of
