A poem for everyone that face a terminal illness. I hope this provides some courage (from an 18 year cancer survivor that was given 1 year to live.)
Dusty Silence By Jim Stewart c 2016 Dedicated to my friend Ronald Lee Young Sometimes when I'm in a room All by myself. The silence seems to talk to me Like a dusty book upon the shelf One day I'll turn that page, I know But it won't be today. No today I'll enjoy that silence And wipe the dust away.

Ashes to ashes� Dust to dust. We need to hold off the dust as long as we can. I think your poem conveys the mood quite well.
