They all came to say their goodbyes,
To one that they knew loved him so true .
His picture was placed inside by her heart,
He had her dressed in a silky dress of blue
He stood over her and his tears could not stop,
For all the love and joy in his thoughts.
Picture books of memories stood on a table,
So all could look and see all the happiness she brought.
Hand in hand, eyes to eyes when they wed,
She promised to love him till the day she died.
Years of memories in his mind for him to see,
Deep within his heart tears would forever cry.
As they lifted her up and took her away,
She stopped loving him today.
To go through the light to wait for him,
But in his heart she would forever stay.
He remembered her words before she left,
Holding her tight, begging her to stay.
Her smile and love in her eyes.
He could not keep the tears away.
She stopped loving him today,
But only on this earthly plane.
For she will love him from above,
Till they come together once again.
Beautiful, like a sad country ballad, and you are right about passing into the light; I believe in the spiritual realm, too, and have had some astonishing moments over the years in my occasional visits to spiritualist churches. Best wishes! k
