My wishes for you this season of love

Is a life full of happiness and joy

To have your eyes full of the sparkle

Of all the stars in the sky

My wishes for you come from my heart

 For I have always felt your love for me

As I was growing up to be a man

My wish is that you would find your own

Happiness and love once again

A life full of new and exciting adventures

I wish you success in all that you do

Good friends that will be there with you

But one of wisdom and common sense too

Memories of Christmases past

That we have shared, just us two

Were always so very special mom

Because they were shared with you

Christmas stories I have read to you

As you lay down to sleep at night

I can remember so clearly each one

As you held on to me so tight

I can still feel the soft kisses that you

Placed upon my brow as I drifted off to sleep

The many times you came into my room and held me

When nightmares would make me weep

Now those nightmares are no longer there

For you have grown to be a man

But I will always be there to hold you

And kiss that sweet brow again

If I could give you all that you desire

I would fulfill all of your Christmas wishes

But I know you mom, you love the simple things

That only honesty and love can truly bring

Smiles and laughter is my wish for you

Every day a new adventure you will find

Maybe a special person that you can love

To share your life for all time

I would give my life if I had too

For you have always been there to protect me

Standing straight and tall and strong

No matter what the problem might be

Both of our Christmas wishes are full of love

That has grown from the first time I saw you

As in my arms you were laid

Tears of joy and happiness filled my heart

While I silently prayed
