Commando Bride

My best friend was married yesterday in a beautiful garden ceremony. Her sexy bridal undies were secured with ribbons which somehow came undone during the ceremony. Unable to find shelter to secure them, she had to remove them (go commando) and take her final photos without them. I wrote this for her scrapbook...she is gonna kill me when she learns I posted it. (laffin)

Commando Bride

Beautiful bride, Commando Queen

Though to some this might seem quite obscene

That tucked beneath your gown of white

Lay the promise of an impassioned night

How does it feel to face the crowd

Holy man, friends and family proud

Without your undies, unable to hide

The smirking blush of a newlywed bride

A tale you will never, ever, forget

Though the entire world doesn’t know yet

But once this poem for you I've penned

The teasing you’ll get will be without end

Every wedding is doomed, to be somehow glitched

But not wearing undies while you’re getting hitched

Is a tale to remember for the rest of your life

As the Commando Bride became Commando Wife

OMG! Sherry! Wasn't there a song lyric that said "Just gimme some kinda sign, Girl, Oh my Darling, That tells me that your mine, Girl"? Although these lyrics may be taking the advice a little too strongly! Terrific write Sherry!

After a few sips of customary champagne, the groom probably would have thought he was doing quite well and already ahead of schedule! I think everyone of us who has had the fortune or misfortune as the case to be married has experienced a humorous glitch or two we'd like to forget about. *smile*

Take Care, Chuckie

Aw, she'll forgive you! My best buddy forgave my wedding party when we snapped a picture of her on the potty during our bachelorette weekend! (and showed it to EVERYONE) It's the stuff that makes the wedding day memorable. Ask most brides and they will tell you that their special day is a blur, after spending tens of thousands of dollars on all the hoopla and gowns. She'll NEVER forget the panties poem, or not wearing any when she said "I Do!" This is adorable! Michelle

Have you any idea how absolutely hilarious this is? Sherry, perhaps she will 'kill you' for posting this, but I think you've given her something brides everywhere hope for: an unequaled, unplanned, never ending memory that will bring a grin long into the future. I predict she will thank you! The poetry itself is simply flawless rhyme and meter... and you've proven, once again, that inspiration for grand verse can come from ANYWHERE! (grin) As a fellow humorist, this is damned great stuff! You're friend is very lucky.. katy xox.

I don't know about it being beautiful like Abdi-Noor, but I do know it is the funniest thing I've read in at least a month. You need to post what hospital you will be in so after your used-to-be-best-friend gets through with you, we can send flowers.
