I tried and tried but just couldn't wrap myself around this format so I decided to amuse myself instead. I will only leave it for a bit just to show I tried and prove that I am not afraid of failure.

Not A Ghazal
Kates Challenge

A worm met a caterpillar and wanted to date her
So he built them a home in a big fat tamater

He wooed her and schmoozed her until she was his
Then he invited her in to see his tamater

So impressed was she with his beautiful home
That she agreed to remain with him at the tamater

So she gathered her things and moved in with the worm
And set up housekeeping in his fine tamater

But soon she was bored with her too small abode
So he built her a city all around their tamater

But fickle was she when the worm wasn’t looking
She would stray to the vines beneath their tamater

She spied a caterpillar and she sure was intrigued
They’d meet in private out of view from the tamater

She began to get crabby and she started to change
Then attached herself to the wall of the tamater

The worm was heartbroken he thought she had died
Never leaving her side, holed up in the tamater

Then one day a twitch did stir where she slept
Then she emerged with wings and flew from the tamater

The worm was quite sad that his love flew away
Then she came back and gave him a last chance tamater
