In society's satisfactory manner
They introduced the homeless
To a reservoir reserved especially
For human emotions and feelings.
Homeless in a very broad sense
Covering the broken-hearted and
Those whose lives ended when
They lost a loved one or friend.
Now being sent to a hollow where
No one can find it, not even in their
Most horrific dreams - it's like a
Dreaded incurable mind disease.
The Well of Souls is bottomless
It's walls are covered with the
Screams of all unconscious
Sufferers who were tossed aside.
Tossed aside by the uncaring and
The self-centered who make sure
All the non-animating individuals
Are disposed of neat and tidy.
Thrown down the Well of Souls
Where darkness and lifelessness
Prevail - once there, no one leaves
Except when their minds die off.
Then they're placed six feet under
With dirt thrown on their face - no
Flowers placed on their unmarked
Graves - lie there disturbed forever.
