'restore people's faith and belief'

Poem Artwork

"There was a special place in

God's universe, somewhere

between dreams and reality

That's where the Lord's

youngest Angel sat - on a

star lost deep in thought.

One year, the Lord gave her

a special task - return to earth

on Christmas Eve and restore

people's faith and belief; this

would not be an easy task for

such a young Angel.

For the Lord said to her you

cannot bring anything from

our heavenly world, no gifts

to bestow; you must arrive

and leave with only your soul

Just as the race of humans do.

She asked the Lord if she could take

nothing, how could she leave something

behind; the Lord smiled - you must

leave swiftly as your time is quickly

passing - the Angel now found herself

deep in the labyrinth of her problem.

As she sat there pondering, the Angel

suddenly felt her soul being touched by

the prayer of a child; now this was quite

unusual, for on this night most children

were sleeping in the anticipation of all

the possibilities of the next morning.

However, earlier that day, some older

children had told the child Christmas

didn't exist - and that parents were the

ones most deeply involved in this

conspiracy.

The Lord's youngest Angel now understood

the purpose of her mission; show the light

so that it would be in all the children and

their parents hearts - her night was now over

She had done something very magical and

heavenly - she now had her wings!"

And a task most worthy to be filled. If we forget or decide not to believe, what is there left. Very spiritually moving.....

Be always safe,

Truly it is much easier these days to believe in the jaded aspects of what we call reality than it is to believe in the healing presence of what we call the miraculous, or the divine. THE LORD'S YOUNGEST ANGEL adds a bit more weight to the side of the miraculous and that is a major poetic achievement indeed :-)Much gratitude and happy holidays Lance,
