We love to watch birds Eating at feeders While they're playing games Like follow the leaders.
We feed them good food And help them get fat But when we get close The birds tend to scat.
We try to be sly Avoiding commotion, But sensing our moves Puts them in motion.
Opening the shades Or other actions Scares them to flying Far from distractions.
We don't have grown cats, Dogs, or mean critters. It's merely people Giving them jitters.
They're quite photogenic But flighty it seems. They're scared of cameras As much as death beams.
They'll never be tamed Most likely I'll bet. They're just camera shy. That's my one regret.
But shoot them I must From quite far away Using a zoom lens I Bought yesterday.
