You frail creatures are nothing to me
But maybe soon to be
A part of this past
Walk with me
Down the catacomb walls
As I lead you to my master
And you scream
As you see visions of what will be,
Of what has been,
Your vile existence lies before you,
In empty dreams and cold reality…
What is this reality
Passed down to me
Through generations
Of people filled with fragility
Give me my grave
On a rainy day
So i can lay
There to sink in your sweet misery,
Cover myself with the stink of your fear,
Wallow in the misery of your life,
And know in your heart your fate!
Your pleadings mean nothing to me,
Your fear sweet music to my ears!
Ha,
you pathetic creatures
That crawl to me
And bow down on your knees
Pleading "oh help me please"
As if I would even help bandage you
While you bleed
Breathe into me, your last bit of life
Let me suck on those sour lips
Sour, just like your heart
Wicked foolish soul,
Now you shall bleed into me
As I desolve all your useless energy
What's the point in being alive,
If you're going to serve a dead God...

Oooh...dark indeed. Made the hairs on my neck stand up (and that takes some doing believe me !!)
a nightmare visited--a wrathful God who enjoys watching us scuttle on broken appendages, who could squash us like the cockroaches we are....JAYSUS you've got me doing it now...dark, depressing...chillingly and effectively written
HOWEVER: the God i serve is not like that. he gets angry, but it is ME who fails HIM, not the other way around...he is merciful and just to answer my prayers as His will dictates. is it in my best interest? if not, okay, then, maybe next time. :)

Well, this blasted me back into another world and kept me there until I finished this macabre bit of poetry. I am okay now, just wondering if I, too, am serving a dead God. Fantastic! You lit up the sky with this one.
Good words - laid out in a great piece of writing. It's the most effective and penetrating sermon I've heard. You surely answered some of my lamentations - but I have only a few at this pointin time. Another Goodun; ! ! ! - Bill
