Tasting blood in my mouth,
And pain in my soul,
You think you can hurt me,
Don’t you know I can’t feel anymore?
No pain or sorrow,
No whispered words of love,
Can ever touch me again…
You have lost me my friend-
Why do you keep trying to reach me?
I’m gone from you!
Gone from me,
Why can’t you see!
Release my wrists!
You won’t pull me to you that way!
I’ll never stay!
Don’t even have to run away,
You were never here anyway…
I don’t want to hear you,
Not a single word,
Everything you say
Is just another lie!
You’re just trying to get
Your own way-
I won’t let you anymore,
I’ve closed that door,
Time to walk away,
I won’t listen to a word you say,
It’s all just lies anyway!
The blow you struck,
Made me bleed,
But the blood in my mouth,
Taste like victory,
It made me realize-
Let me see,
You my friend
Were not meant for me…
Glad you kicked him to the curb, now break his fist so he can't hit anyone else. (metaphorically, of course.) Glad you excaped, no matter how hard it is from here, it's still easier then being there!

Retta, I know the blow hurt. But the blow was struck for freedom! He made a big mistake! Now, never ever let him come back again. Let him rot. Die. Go. Get the hell out. You are too good to suffer this. You are an extraordinary Lady of Poetry. I would be so fortunate to find someonelike you and so would many othes. Bill Hugs
