My friend,
Ravened haired with clear blue eyes,
With strength that strains to reach the skies,
Feel your warmth stain my soul,
Melt the ice I’ve always known…
My friend,
Eased the ache of loss,
Caught me when I was tossed,
Like garbage thrown in the bin…
Always there to hold me when I cry,
Somehow finding out when I need him by my side-
When tragedy tried to break me,
He taught me how to bend-
When I tried to bar my heart,
He ripped the cage apart.
Always setting goals that I can reach,
You alone loved me enough to teach:
The world has enough heroes and villains-
Enough beauties and beasts,
Enough golden lakes and crystal seas,
But not enough of me…
