I love my friend,
He is everything to me,
Somehow closer,
Than those who claim
To know my name...
Sometimes,
He tells me things,
I do not want to hear,
But he is always there,
To ease my fear...
I love my friend,
Don't really know how,
It came to be,
That he got so
Damn close to me-
Sometimes,
I wish I could not feel,
That he wasn't so damn real...
But he is teaching me,
That there is truth
In the world yet,
And I never thought
I would live
Long enough to give,
And receive this thing
He brings...
I walk in the world,
And it is dark,
Then I see this light,
Showing me the way
Out of the night...
Sometimes,
I am reluctant to go,
Don't want to leave behind,
The safety I've always known,
But I love my friend,
Can't let him down,
Hate to see him,
Wear a frown...
I love my friend,
And he made a promise once,
Just to me,
That no matter what happens,
He will always be
Just what he says he is,
And nothing more,
A loving friend,
Who will never end,
Will never leave me
In the dark alone...
I have nothing more to say,
My life a joy with each new day,
For where ever life takes me,
Our friendship will always be...
