-- Shadows Under The Moon --

In my forest,
The stars shine weakly,
But,
The moon light passes through
The lovely trees,
Casting shadows where I walk,
In search of you ...

Not ready yet,
To tell you,
Who I am,
Or why I hide here,
In the shadows,
Under the silver moon ...

Yet,
I am drawn,
By the beauty of your soul,
Wondering if you are real,
Or just a dream,
That I feel,

If you are real,
I would bring you here,
Lay you on the banks
Of my bubbling creek,
And make sweet love to you...

Kiss your lips,
That taste of honey,
That I watched you steal,
From the bees that slept,
Under the watchful eyes,
Of my whispering moon...

My forest trust you,
Called your heart here,
Where we have nothing to fear,
If our love is true ...

You see,
I am not real,
Just a shadow,
That dances under the moon ...

Watching you wake,
With a smile on your face,
Remembering the kiss I gave you,
As you slept...

If you and I were real,
I would call you to my dream,
And teach you the steps,
To my ancestors dance,

And we would live
And love,
In the shadows,
Under the moon,

Forever...

Romance of the Spirit with the ethereal touch of a dream or a shadow... but imbibing the soul deeply. He will never forget this kiss in a moonbeam... **soft sigh**

Ohh. I can almost hear the wolves howling their plaintive, historical wail in this poem. I'm not sure why except that your words bring out the mysterious wildness in my heart. Very well penned.
