Yearnings

In a moment’s lapse
At times
I leave
Myself

I am not
Then
What I am thought to be

Elsewhere
I live
An echo from the past

Full moon
Silver night
Soft snow
Fresh tracks
Scented spoor
Quickened heartbeat
Rush of blood
Coursing
Within my veins
An instinct will not be denied

I breathe
The moment

A wolf howls

I wonder

Am I really me?

First yur picture grabbed me. I lovewolves. Then the words, they are beautiful. I can feel the scene. Regis, You have captured the essense of the one who can be transported to a place of
spiritual peace and contentment. I breathed the moment too. The imagery is awesome.
Love and peace.

This is a fantastic poem Regis. Have you ever read the book "Steppenwolf?" One of my favorites. Talks about the carnal, bestial nature in all of us. Wonderful writing. I totally identify with the "am I really me?" sentiment. Wonder that all the time.

Intriguing write, Regis. It is part of my own theological belief that there is nothing we have not been...and those who can still feel and emphathise with those other parts of ourselves are the ones that have the greatest responsibility to express those sensations. You have done so well here...May you always walk within the softest and the brightest of the Light...soft blessings to you,
