you've got the long-term view, regis, wrapped up nicely here. When is when? The call of the eternal gets stronger as we get older. What next? When? Good question, and poem!
These thoughts tumble in the millisecond it takes to think them, when feelings run this high and this intensely, Regis. A totally breathless and heartstopping write - cleverly broken in the last instance with the turn. Could feel my heart cracking - what a love that is prepared for such a wait! Thank you for giving us the cycles of love ... love goes dormant for a few months as do nature's things and then springs back in fruition. It gives us intermission from one season of love to another to reflect on the things that need to be reborn. It is a good way to live. The never-ending cycle of life-love-death-rebirth.
Sighs...This is a beautiful poem, Regis, filled with romance and hope. Only a fool would stray from a love so devoted and true. Such feelings should not be wasted on one who would be so cruel as to leave one who loves them longing and hoping for a future they have no intention of delivering. Excellent write!
