There once was a handsome red bull, that was mighty proud,
He would stand and look over the fence and bellow mighty loud.

You see, the fence he wanted over was around a gas line,
And the grass over there, sure looked fine.

He was a big magnificent red bull, with haughtiness that abound,
His herd of adoring cows, was standing all around.

He backed off a ways, shaking his massive head and pawing the ground,
His cows stood there watching him and didn't make a sound.

He ran full steam and jumped, over the fence he went just fine,
He was almost wading in the grass, until he landed astride the gas line.

The Ka-boom he heard should have really put him in gear,
But standing there wounded, he knew, from then on, he'd be called a steer.

Now folks, this is a true story, that I just told you,
And yes, he was once a proud red bull, but these days, he's mighty blue!
