Don't leave my blood without a cause,
just use it quick, don't dare to pause
that's the same mistake I made
and then they shot and down I laid.

With my blood paint out the stories
of the legends and the glories
but don't dare speak of death's black kiss,
that's a point they'd rather miss.

Adorn the sky with all my pride
although the scorn of spiteful tide
did wash away the medals won
so there's no proof of what I've done.
