The pudgy earthworms
inched onto the sidewalk
driven by the rain unfurled.

The storm ended and,
stranded in the sun
they died, neat and curled.

Tis a shame there’s
no sunscreen
in their annelid world.

clever...i always wondered why they seemed to commit suicide, couldn't they just crawl back into the dirt?

Very imaginative. I remember picking them up when I was a kid to use them for bait. Called easy pickings. Great metaphor hidden within my friend. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.

I like this one Leysa, and good to see you back on the board. I always wondered why there were so many worms around after a heavy rain...is it because their hole floods and they float to surface,hmnnn I wonder.
