Before He walked into my world

The light had long gone out.

Total darkness engulfed my world

My whole life was falling apart.

My reins could not hold any longer

All my dreams were shattered apart

Fate put out the light that once shone in my life

I watched as my hopes walked out the door.

How could I have known or imagined

That love was among the things

That doesn’t last forever,

When love was so honest and joyful

Filled with loyal promises

I must have been dreaming to believe them.

Now I know I had been punked.

But a better light just entered my life!

My Charmer came with so much to offer

Like my first love he sounds so real

Magically he swept me off my feet.

I tried so hard to hold on my guard,

Peradventure he’d turned out to be a repeated history

But something inside of me tells me he’s for real

So I decided to take the risk

For falling in love is a risk worth taking.

Days turned into weeks, then months.

A few years passed by and my Charmer

Still remains faithful and true

With his sweet charms he drove away

My past memories of hurts and shame

Now I can testify that life can be good
