THE GORILLA YOUR DREAMS
Lyrics by Joel Sattler

I knew a gorilla
The Gorilla your dreams
She was quite a bit nasty hairy and mean
She was as mean as mean as they come
when she said skedaddle man you better run

she was stronger than any guy that I knew
she could break you in half or break you in two
no matter what you thought you could do

the gorilla your dreams was a nightmare in fact
she was all that you needed all that you lack
and if you were smart you'd leave her alone
or she'd pick her teeth with your bones

gorilla you dreams what are you made of
you can't help your fantasies or who you will love
you just got to play it play it where it lays
true for tomorrow true yesterdays

I thought I was tough but I cracked like an egg
I thought I was ready but I just had to beg
love isn't all that it wants or it seems
not when you have the gorilla your dreams

Why never dated gorillas. One of my girlfriends told me a funny story. She came home one night to her dark family room. Sitting in the corner where she didn't see her at first was a woman that she could only describe as a "Gorilla." Scared her half the death when the woman rose from her chair.

It turned out the woman was stalking her errant son who couldn't hold a job and was staying home with his mother. They were a strange couple for a while until he kicked her out. But she came back in the house because she knew how to get in one night and stole some of his intimate things like his shaving equipment (she could shave with it?), his deodorant and his underwear.

Be careful what you dream or ask for. Incidentally, real gorillas are very kind and loving vegetarians and have a very bad rap simply because of the way they look.
