Twas an extremely hot summer day
Had all my fans blowing the hot air
Out from my holistic store
Of late rarely did business come my way
Life didn't seem so fair
I had only one chore
To clean with the sun's last ray
And without much care
My rag came apart and tore
My body twisted on the ladder with a sway
The large bottle let out its fare
The pepper dust never reached the floor
The old donkey stopped its bray
Rustled almost as if in a snare
Sneezed down to its core
Twas the same for the others and for one with the tray
All thinking their worst nightmare
Running from the lab thinking of the spore
The infection word spread like it may
Each fled to a caregiver like a hare
Every throat now trending sore
Told not to worry but to pray
Panic was all they could share
Every pharma with a closed door
On the ground I lay
Without any flair
Lifted quickly off the floor
A night so bright I should say
Tumeric, garlic, honey and bottled oxygen air
And they wanted more
With all their fears allay
My store was an empty boiling lair
Something I could not ignore
Life was not so gray
With all its funny gear
Gloom was all I wore
Out I went to dance and play
Old donkey hoofed like a powerful mare
Dusted me like a dirty oar
Sneezed on and on like I was in hay
Donkey brayed with her smiling eclaire
Joyously kicking my legs up for more
Always,
Deborah
