There is a heart that has been
lifted unto heaven, ‘neath the
weight of sorrow’s bane...
We defy it’s judgement and an oath
unto oneself is born.
That the petals of heaven and of peace
shall guide the way; that a heart of truth
has something to say to the north
star of our hopes ~ learning to cope
with the demands of this world,
the newborn soul must first learn
to live without the skin of shame ~
To look at all, and without blame
or haste, take but a small taste
of their mortal dinner as served to each...
Suffer the cross which
they have earned, carried upon
their back, with head held slack
qithin the irons of society’s cell...
built specifically to each, from their
own moral blueprint of conscience
and co-existence with the heaven
from whence we were lifted,
that beautiful place from which we once fell.
