If One has a 'Quirk' ... Is One necessarily a 'Jerk'? 'Tis a Duty I shall not 'Shirk' ... Posted below, my latest 'Work' ... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ OH ... Almost forgot ... I painted the picture about 25 years ago, using Acrylics. I still have the Christmas card it was modeled from.

As For Me ... © - Tom Hyland - 4/30/2014 And My House ... It Is ... Always ... CHRISTMAS ! To me, Christmas is a Spirit - A Spirit of Joy! When Others Rush to Take Down All the Trimmings and Decorations, I Purposely Leave Remnants as Reminders! Keep the Spirit of Joy Alive Throughout the Year! Upon entering my humble Abode, A 14' X 45' Mobile Home (Trailer), Straight ahead on the Wall above the Pellet Stove, Hangs a Painted Breadboard ... A Snowbound Scene, Green Pine and Red Sleigh In the Foreground, Old Farmhouse and Barn in the Background. Two small Wreaths reveal the Season. Above this, at Ceiling Height, A String of Christmas Lights extend Left, Through the Living Room And Around the Laundry Area. Both the Laundry and Bathroom Overhead Light Fixtures Display a Miniature Glass Painted Tree Ornament. A 'touch" of Christmas! The Hall Mirror, Just outside the Bathroom Has yet another small Display, Soft, Brightly Colored Little Pieces, Of Santa and Gifts! Every Now and Then, I "discover" other Trinkets Here and There, Interspersed amidst 'normal' Decorations. Snowmen - Santa - Reindeer, Even a Cute Lil Penguin, Who 'Jiggles' his Arms As Light hits his Sensor! Am I merely a Hopeless "Romantic'? Or, a 'Looney-Toon"? My "Castle" Certainly Makes me Happy! About 50 Years Ago, While in Williamsburg, Virginia, On a Hot July Day, I Spotted It ... Right on Main Street ... A CHRISTMAS SHOP! "Christmas in July" Gives me a "Warm n' Fuzzy' Feeling! So ... Why Not Every Day of the Year? As For Me and My House ... It Is ALWAYS ... Christmas! (C) - TKH.

WOW! If it's always Christmas at your place, how come Christmas Gifts to your beloved cousins aren't arriving all year long??!!

That's the lamest excuse for being lazy and not taking down Christmas decoration that was tacky to start with and even tackier now that summer is approaching.

However, I certainly enjoy a good laugh and with your current situation as a foil, you have created a memorable post here.

My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. It's the only one that so far has remained fairly uncommercalized. Gobble gobble.
